Powerwolf anunță un nou album pentru 2021

Marii preoți ai heavy metalului, Powerwolf, au anunțat că au începutul lucrul la un nou album, care va apărea în 2021. În timp ce trupa se pregătește pentru apariția noii compilații, Best Of The Blessed (pe 3 iulie, la Napalm Records) chitaristul Matthew Greywolf a comentat:

„Even some months before the world went into lockdown I started locking myself in my studio to start writing new songs for the eighth POWERWOLF album, and by now there’s quite a bunch of exciting stuff, which I´m working on with Attila as we speak. Lots of energy and hooks – we’re thrilled and excited! We expect to start recording by the end of the year, and 2021 will definitely bring a new POWERWOLF chapter. Until then – stay at home, stay safe & healthy!”

Best Of The Blessed sărbătorește 15 ani de carieră Powerwolf, nu doar compilând un best of, ci aducând versiuni re-interpretate și re-orchestrate. Compilației propriu-zise i se adaugă un disc bonus, The Live Sacrament, cu piese înregistrate live în timpul Wolfsnächte Tour, din 2018.

Kiss Of The Cobra King este primul cântec lansat într-o nouă versiune, pe 1 noiembrie 2019.

Pe 27 martie a apărut o altă piesă reinterpretată, Werewolves Of Armenia.
