Când auzim termenul The Big Four ne gândim automat la cvartetul Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth și Anthrax. Cu toate acestea în Europa se formau în aceeași perioadă trupe la fel de brutale și inovatoare, cu aceleași rădăcini muzicale. Decalajul informațional a făcut ca acestea să devină cunoscute internațional de-abia odată cu al doilea val thrash (Testament, Sacred Reich, Dark Angel, Death Angel).

Ceea ce nu diminuează cu nimic meritele unui alt Big Four, cel teutonic, compus din Kreator, Destruction, Sodom și Tankard.

Pe 22 februarie, clubul Quantic a găzduit concertul veteranilor de la Destruction, avându-i în deschidere pe Nekhrah (CY) și Crossbone (RO).
